For the third year in a row, organisers of the Dubai World Championship presented by DP World have announced that tickets for the 2011 tournament will be available free of charge to the general public.

The initiative was a huge success in both 2009 and 2010 with more than 50,000 spectators attending on each occasion for the exciting final round in The Race to Dubai.

And when the top 60 players descend on the Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates from December 8-11, spectators will once again be able to watch some of the world’s biggest golfing names and savour one of Dubai’s biggest social occasions completely free of charge.

“The Dubai World Championship is firmly established as one of the UAE’s biggest sporting events but is the only one offering free tickets allowing spectators to see Major winners, Ryder Cup stars and many of the world’s top ten in action at what is a celebration of golf,” said European Tour Director – International Business Development Middle East & Asia, Colin Smith.

“The best players on The European Tour currently occupy the majority of places in the world’s top ten and we’ll be marking the finale of the season with a golfing festival here in Dubai that will reflect the occasion.

“Away from the action on the course, there will be something for everyone in the Championship Village as well as a host of F&B outlets, live musical performances, an even bigger kids’ zone and a variety of entertainment options. It will be the ultimate golfing showcase as we bring down the curtain on The 2011 Race to Dubai and crown the European Number One for the 2011 season.”

In addition to free general admission tickets, organisers have also released details of their premium hospitality packages, which include a number of exclusive benefits – for further details on Course and Hospitality Pavilion admission and costs click here
